HELP: about the House Description Data
The general characteristic data for the specific house are needed to perform the calculations. The only mandatory input data is the total amount of
conditioned FLOOR AREA . This is not the footprint, but the total area
that the heating system must be able to accommodate.
All other data are optional. If nothing is entered default values are assumed.
These are as follows:
- The other house dimensions: house volume and height
- Wind environment: shielding and terrain parameters
- House configuration: number of stories, age, floor/basement type, thermal distribution system, retrofitting
- Leakage area: effective or normalized
All above data are described in more detail in HELPs on specific data.
